Medical Records Clerk

• Organize and update active patient charts to ensure records are accurate and easily accessible
• Conduct audits on insurance documentation to support payment reviews and compliance
• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Office, PointClickCare, and Iron Mountain to efficiently manage records
• Communicate with patients and healthcare staff to address inquiries and provide necessary documentation
• Ensure adherence to privacy regulations and healthcare standards in all record-keeping processes
• Assist with billing functions and claim administration to support financial operations
• Create and maintain charts, graphs, and other visual data representations to track and report key metrics
• Handle inbound calls related to medical records and patient information
• Collaborate with the team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in back-office operations

• Proven experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic Software, Cerner Technologies, or Allscripts
• Familiarity with auditing processes and claim administration
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients and staff
• Ability to work onsite in a business casual environment
• Experience with PointClickCare and Iron Mountain is a plus
• Knowledge of privacy regulations and healthcare compliance standards
