Job Description:

Short-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in the Healthcare industry. The role is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and involves working in a hospital and social assistance setting.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure efficient processing of patient records
Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records
Handle inquiries related to patient records effectively
Monitor and manage patient accounts in a timely manner
Leverage knowledge of Electronic Medical Records software to enhance efficiency
Adhere to HIPAA regulations in all activities
Familiarize with medical terminologies to better understand and manage records
Take necessary action based on patient account monitoring results
Update and maintain patient record systems
Possess knowledge in the medical field to better serve and understand patient needs

Requirements:

Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role
Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding medical records
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development initiatives
