Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Record Retrieval Specialist to join our team in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare initiatives by retrieving and managing medical records. This opportunity allows you to contribute to impactful projects while working in a collaborative and detail-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility:

Retrieve electronic medical records from various provider systems and copy service platforms
Generate and send letter requests to healthcare providers to facilitate record collection
Conduct outbound calls to providers to resolve obstacles and ensure timely receipt of medical records
Perform data entry tasks and research within multiple electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Collaborate with the Risk Adjustment and Quality Departments to support related initiatives
Manage strict deadlines to ensure project milestones are met efficiently
Support additional tasks such as system research and document handling as needed
Assist team leads, managers, or directors with project-specific assignments
Adhere to company protocols and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive medical information

Requirements:

Minimum of two years of relevant experience in medical records retrieval or a related field
High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
Proficiency in customer service, data entry, and research tasks
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong communication skills, including the ability to handle inbound and outbound calls effectively
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks
Knowledge of healthcare initiatives such as Medicare Advantage and risk adjustment processes
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality
