Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Record Retrieval Specialist to join our team in a Contract position. In this role, you will contribute to healthcare improvement by supporting risk adjustment and quality initiatives across various business lines, including Medicare Advantage and Commercial programs. This position is remote, offering flexibility while requiring strong organizational and communication skills to meet project deadlines effectively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Retrieve electronic medical records from provider systems and copy service platforms
  • Generate and manage letter requests sent to providers for medical record retrieval
  • Conduct outbound communication with providers to resolve issues and streamline record access
  • Perform detailed data entry and research across multiple electronic medical record systems
  • Collaborate with team leads and managers to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project goals
  • Maintain compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations in all data handling
  • Support large-scale retrieval projects and contribute to broader risk adjustment and quality initiatives
  • Utilize web-based and internal systems for research and data validation

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in medical records or healthcare data handling
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven knowledge of HIPAA regulations and privacy/confidentiality laws
  • Strong proficiency in data entry and system research
  • Ability to make outbound calls and manage provider communication efficiently
  • Reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 100 Mbps for remote work
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and healthcare regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
