Job Description

Manages and supervises the day-to-day operation of the Medical Records Department ensuring full manning in every shift by proper scheduling of staff. Responsible to determine the needs of the department considering budgetary constraints on manpower, facilities, and supplies.

Job Responsibility

  • Facilitate monitoring of daily activities within the department
  • Coordinates with higher management i.e. COO for administrative issues
  • and CMO for medical or technical issues, getting approval and other decision-making on related problems that may arise during the day. In his/her absence designates the second-man-line to handle his responsibilities
  • Participates in quality improvement programs and their implementation such as: a. Reviewing and confirming the accuracy of data in all patients’ documents before releasing to the patient or authorized relative as releasing documents is one of his responsibilities. b. Is a member of the Medical Records Committee, coordinating and assisting the Committee in checking the quality of patient’s documentation and preparing files for random checking
  • separating deficient ones for completion prior to scanning
  • Developing programs in collaboration with T.Q.M. Manager and monitoring tools such as Morbidity and mortality

  • Plans, monitors, and participates in hospital health awareness to promote health and the image of the Saudi German Hospital internally
  • Utilizes his/her academic expertise, knowledge, and experience to implement, monitor, and plan for MRD quality improvement activities
  • Ensures the implementation of the department’s shared mission, vision, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for the operation of the department
  • Designs and prepares operational manuals related to his/her department

  • Prepare the annual statistics per training for all duties
  • Designing and implementing best practices throughout the Medical Records Department

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years relevant experience in the same role in a recognized Hospital
