We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our client's team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this long-term contract role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their experience starts on a positive note. This position involves managing patient registration, maintaining accurate records, and performing essential front-office tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process
Register new and returning patients in the system while ensuring accurate demographic and financial details are recorded
Collect and manage completed paperwork from patients, ensuring all necessary forms are completed properly
Orient new patients by providing essential information and preparing their charts for appointments
Schedule patient appointments and update calendars as needed
Maintain and organize electronic medical records (EMR) with precision and confidentiality
Answer phone calls and address inquiries or route them to the appropriate personnel
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless office operations and patient flow
Monitor and order office supplies to support daily operations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred
Proficiency in using computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems is essential
Strong knowledge of basic medical terminology is highly desirable
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills are required for success in this role
Previous experience in patient scheduling and front-office operations is an advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with professionalism
Nice to have:
