My Medical client has a fantastic part time opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist based at their CBD Specialist Clinic. The ideal candidate will have worked a similar role with strong patient care and familiarity with scheduling medical appointments and using medical databases. This is an 18 month part time contract with the possibility of extension and they operate from Tuesdays to Fridays.
Job Responsibility:
Greeting patients as they arrive for their appointments and ensuring they are comfortable
Providing high level patient care with pantience and empathy
Answering calls and enquiries regarding their services and appointments in a friendly and professional manner
Scheduling appointments
Maintaining the patient database
Following up with patients as needed
Processing payments
Assisting with Telehealth enquiries, often helping clients with any access issues
Adding timesheets through Xero
Assiting with admin duties as required, scanning through Adobe and converting PDFs
Utilising Outlook and Teams for emails and internal meetings
Ad hoc Adminsitrative duties as required by management
Requirements:
Medical industry experience in a similar role
Excellent patient care and customer service skills
Empathy and patience with regard to communicating with patients in the clinic and over the phone as they will often require sympathy and understanding with their conditions
Strong understanding of Medicare and processing payments
Good experience using medical databases
Strong scheduling experience with appointments
High attention to details as there will be data entry with various medical codes with billing
Great organisation skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
Great systems experience with the ability to use Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Dermatology specialty wilol be highly regarded but not essential
