We are seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Responsibility
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and take messages
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Verify patient information, insurance, and demographics
Collect co-pays and process payments
Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR systems)
Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures
Ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow and office efficiency
Requirements
1+ year of medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume patient environment
