We are seeking a reliable and professional Contract Medical Receptionist to support a busy medical office or healthcare facility. This role is responsible for front-desk operations, patient intake, and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Responsibility:
Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
Answer and route incoming calls
schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and collect required documentation
Manage patient check-out, including follow-up appointments and referrals
Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems
Handle general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, faxing, and data entry
Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling needs
Requirements:
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or administrative assistant in a healthcare setting preferred
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and basic medical terminology
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain professional under pressure
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
