We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Syracuse, New York. As part of this short-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth admission processes for patients and residents, while delivering exceptional customer service. Job Responsibility:
Conduct interviews with patients, residents, and their representatives during the admission process to gather necessary information
address inquiries and provide clear explanations about facility services and procedures
accurately maintain records of admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure up-to-date documentation
compile and organize data for occupancy census reports on a regular basis
perform data entry tasks with precision to support administrative operations
collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow
uphold confidentiality and care in handling sensitive patient information
provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment
assist with general front-office tasks, including scheduling and handling phone inquiries.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a medical front office or similar administrative role
proficiency in data entry and record-keeping with attention to detail
strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
familiarity with healthcare admission processes is highly desirable
ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
knowledge of basic medical terminology is a plus
demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
proficiency in using office software and systems for administrative tasks.
