We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a healthcare office in New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while keeping appointments, records, and office activities organized. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome patients upon arrival, guide them through the check-in process, and assist with an efficient check-out experience at the end of each visit
Arrange, update, and confirm appointments while helping maintain an accurate and well-organized daily schedule
Enter, review, and maintain patient information in the office system to support complete and up-to-date records
Partner with providers and office staff to coordinate visit timing and help keep patient movement through the practice running smoothly
Answer front-desk inquiries in a courteous manner and provide general administrative support for routine office operations
Manage incoming calls and direct messages appropriately to support patient communication and office responsiveness
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in a medical receptionist, medical front office, or similar patient-facing administrative role
Hands-on ability to schedule patient appointments and manage calendar updates accurately
Experience with patient check-in procedures and front-desk reception responsibilities in a healthcare setting
Familiarity with maintaining patient records and entering information with strong attention to detail
Basic understanding of medical terminology used in a physician office or clinic environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a detail-oriented and welcoming approach to patient service
Ability to handle multiple administrative tasks efficiently in a fast-paced medical office
