Medical Receptionist

• Greeting patients as they arrive for their appointments and ensuring they are comfortable
• Providing high level patient care with patience and empathy
• Answering calls and enquiries regarding their services and appointments in a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling appointments
• Maintaining the patient database
• Following up with patients as needed
• Processing payments
• Assisting with Telehealth enquiries, often helping clients with any access issues
• Adding timesheets through Xero
• Assisting with admin duties as required, scanning through Adobe and converting PDFs
• Utilising Outlook and Teams for emails and internal meetings
• Ad hoc Administrative duties as required by management

• Medical industry experience in a similar role
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills
• Empathy and patience with regard to communicating with patients in the clinic and over the phone
• Strong understanding of Medicare and processing payments
• Good experience using medical databases
• Strong scheduling experience with appointments
• High attention to details
• Great organisation skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Great systems experience with the ability to use Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in Dermatology specialty will be highly regarded but not essential
