We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle benefits administration with accuracy and attention to detail. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring administrative tasks are managed efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and addressing inquiries
Manage benefits administration tasks, including coordination and communication with patients regarding their coverage
Facilitate COBRA administration and ensure compliance with relevant policies
Handle leave of absence requests and maintain accurate records
Assist with compensation and benefits-related matters, ensuring all documentation is completed properly
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations
Coordinate schedules and appointments, ensuring seamless operations
Provide support for half-day operations on Fridays while maintaining quality service
Collaborate with team members to enhance client-facing experiences and address concerns effectively
Ensure the reception area remains organized and detail oriented at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience in medical reception or a similar role is required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to create a welcoming environment for patients
Familiarity with benefits administration, including COBRA and leave of absence processes
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Client-facing experience with a focus on delivering exceptional service
Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
Availability to work onsite five days a week, including shorter hours on Fridays
Organizational skills to ensure the reception area and administrative tasks are managed effectively
