We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our pulmonology practice in Beckley, West Virginia. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by providing exceptional administrative and patient support services. Job Responsibility:
Welcome patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out procedures with efficiency
Accurately collect co-pays and verify insurance details to ensure seamless billing processes
Coordinate and schedule patient procedures, including sleep studies, while maintaining timely follow-ups
Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records by handling documentation, filing, and scanning tasks
Perform general administrative duties such as data entry and answering inbound calls to assist patients and staff
Ensure a respectful and positive experience for patients by addressing their needs with care and courtesy
Support providers and staff by managing a busy workload and prioritizing tasks effectively
Protect patient confidentiality by adhering to policies and procedures for handling sensitive information
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems efficiently to store and retrieve patient data
Adapt to the dynamic needs of the practice and contribute to its smooth operation
Requirements:
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting is highly preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients and staff in a detail-oriented manner
Proficiency in handling financial transactions, including co-pays and insurance verifications
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications
Ability to work independently while supporting the needs of both patients and healthcare providers
