Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this Contract to permanent role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and detail-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently within a medical setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a detail-oriented manner and provide assistance as needed
  • Manage scheduling and appointment coordination to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Maintain and update patient medical records accurately and securely
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff
  • Process documentation, including insurance forms and referrals, with precision
  • Utilize Microsoft Word to prepare and edit correspondence and other documents
  • Ensure the reception area is organized, clean, and welcoming
  • Collaborate with medical staff to support daily operations and administrative needs
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations
  • Assist in resolving minor patient concerns or direct them to the appropriate personnel

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other basic computer applications
  • Experience managing medical records and familiarity with healthcare documentation
  • Proven ability to perform receptionist duties in a detail-oriented setting
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality protocols
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred
  • Additional certifications are a plus
