Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will provide vital support to senior trial attorneys, ensuring seamless case preparation and management. If you have a strong background in medical malpractice and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist senior trial attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
  • conduct thorough research and analysis related to medical malpractice claims
  • utilize case management software to organize and maintain legal files and documentation
  • manage billing functions and ensure accurate tracking of case-related expenses
  • prepare and file legal documents using systems such as Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
  • coordinate calendar management for court dates, appointments, and deadlines
  • facilitate claim administration processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • collaborate with internal teams to support the briefing process and trial preparations
  • communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal cases
  • monitor deadlines using tools like CompuLaw and ensure timely submission of required documents.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal, with expertise in medical malpractice
  • familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and case management software
  • strong skills in calendar management and tracking deadlines using tools such as CompuLaw
  • experience with claim administration and billing processes
  • excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • knowledge of courtroom procedures and trial preparation processes.
