Job Description

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a skilled litigation paralegal to support its medical malpractice and detail oriented liability defense practice. Job Responsibility

  • Analyze and organize medical records, including developing detailed medical chronologies
  • Prepare and file legal documents in state and federal courts using e-filing systems
  • Draft case summaries, reports, and supporting materials for attorney review
  • Manage large volumes of documents, including maintaining databases, tracking systems, and spreadsheets
  • Coordinate communication with courts, clients, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Support all phases of discovery, including document collection, review, and production
  • Conduct factual research and assist with case investigations
  • Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, and hearing binders
  • Partner with internal teams to handle high-volume document projects

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Solid understanding of legal terminology and litigation procedures
  • Experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with document management platforms (e.g., iManage or similar) preferred
  • Familiarity with file-sharing and litigation support tools is a plus
  • Prior experience reviewing and summarizing medical records required
  • Medical malpractice or healthcare litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred

  • Minimum of 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting
