Join a Community Where Everyone Matters at Alton Park Junior School. We are looking for a dedicated Medical Lead & First Aider to become a vital part of our school, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our school community.

Job Responsibility:

Managing daily operations of the school medical room
Providing first aid to pupils, staff, and visitors
Leading on first-aid arrangements, including risk assessments and maintaining Individual Health Care Plans (IHCPs)
Overseeing secure storage and administration of medication
Maintaining accurate records of incidents and treatments

Requirements:

Good level of literacy and numeracy (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
Commitment to undergo necessary training (First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, Mental Health First Aid) if not currently held
Ability to remain calm under pressure, work autonomously, and communicate effectively with parents and staff
Willingness to learn new skills, including school MIS systems (like Arbor) and Google Workspace
Genuine commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
