Medical Laboratory Assistant II, Histology Lab, PRN, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Histology department at Baptist Medical Center. This is a PRN shift opportunity with various shifts. This candidate must be able to cover shifts between 7:30am and 7:00pm and available for 6-10 weeks of full time training. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Histology Department, this team member supports the processing of tissue specimens by receiving, labeling, and preparing samples, assisting with embedding and workflow tracking, and maintaining a clean, safe laboratory environment. This role works closely with histotechnologists and pathologists to ensure accurate specimen handling, proper documentation, and timely turnaround of histology samples.
