Job Description

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our Lab Outreach team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity working Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm and occasional Saturdays at our Baptist Downtown location.

Job Responsibility

  • Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results
  • Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers
  • Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures
  • Utilizing computer functions

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Phlebotomy Experience
  • Specimen Processing Experience
  • Experience working in a health care setting
  • Driver's License - DMV

Nice to have

  • Associates Degree Preferred
  • Phlebotomy Certification Preferred
