Job Description

The Medical Imaging Specialist (MIS) is an unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific technical tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. The care provided by the MIS is supervised by a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

Job Responsibility

  • Supports patient care by performing specific technical tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider
  • Performing diagnostic quality imaging procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department population.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
  • Minimum six (6) months Pediatric experience (preferred)
  • Work within a team environment and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills.

Nice to have

  • Program Graduate of a patient care program (CNA, MA, or EMT)
  • MA - Medical Assistant
  • CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
  • EMT- Emergency Medical Technician
  • Bilingual Skills.
