We are looking for a Medical Front Desk Specialist to support daily patient-facing operations for a busy healthcare office in Madison, New Jersey. The person in this role will help patients move smoothly through registration, scheduling, and basic intake steps while ensuring accurate collection of key information.
Job Responsibility
Welcome patients upon arrival, confirm appointment details, and manage the check-in process
Coordinate appointment calendars by booking, adjusting, and confirming visits
Obtain and verify insurance information and collect copayments
Provide required forms to patients and review documents for completeness
Escort patients to exam rooms when needed and record basic measurements
Gather reports and supporting documentation for clinical staff
Answer front desk inquiries in person and by phone, maintaining an organized reception area
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in a medical front desk, healthcare reception, or similar patient-facing office role
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Hands-on ability to schedule patients, manage check-ins, and handle routine front office responsibilities efficiently
Experience collecting insurance details and processing patient copayments with accuracy and professionalism
Familiarity with basic medical terminology used in a clinical or outpatient setting
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality
