In healthcare, the front desk sets the tone for the entire patient experience. We’re hiring a dependable and compassionate Medical Front Desk Receptionist to support a fast-paced clinical team in Oceanside. This role is ideal for someone who can stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and keep operations running efficiently while delivering excellent patient service. You’ll be the central point of coordination between patients, providers, and administrative staff.
Job Responsibility
Welcome patients, manage check-in/check-out processes, and maintain a professional front office presence
Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and confirm patient information
Answer high-volume phone lines and address patient questions or concerns
Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately
Collect co-pays and process payments in compliance with office policies
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow
Handle referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests
Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and documentation
Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and reporting
Requirements
One to three years of medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
Experience with EMR systems and scheduling platforms
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Nice to have
Experience in a high-volume clinic or specialty practice
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Familiarity with insurance authorizations and referrals
