UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity. Born of the British National Health Service, we’ve been working for over 30 years towards a world where everyone has the healthcare they need when crises or disasters hit. We are seeking Medical Doctors specializing in paediatrics who are enthusiastic about expanding their knowledge and skills within a humanitarian environment. Your primary role will be to support the healthcare needs of both host and internally displaced persons.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the healthcare needs of both host and internally displaced persons
  • Gain experience and knowledge in the humanitarian field, particularly in providing emergency medical care

Requirements:

  • Current medical license
  • Demonstrable current and unconditional membership in a suitable registering organization
  • Specific qualifications and professional registrations in Paediatric Medicine
  • Minimum 5 years work experience
  • Extensive experience working in Emergency Departments providing emergency medical care to patients, particularly children
  • Available for international travel and deployment on short notice
  • Minimum commitment of 4-6 weeks (longer availability highly desirable)
  • Language skills will be an advantage
  • Determined, high performing, compassionate and collaborative
  • Committed to learning and supporting others to learn
