Requirements

Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in direct patient care
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
2 or more years proven experience in clinical outcomes, with a solid understanding of medical statistics, regulatory agencies, and analytic programs
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state in which the candidate is located

Job Responsibility

Provide clinical business support to the entire enterprise
Provide clinical oversight and mentorship for CVS Health clinical programs
Consultative support to the P&T process, formulary development, drug information services, and pipeline activities
Clinical leadership to internal departments and clients
Complete assigned medication utilization reviews (PA) and/or medical necessity appeals for clients
Participate in inter-rater review activities and other quality oversight processes
Perform special clinical investigations and research as requested
Share in reviews of utilization management criteria and clinical policy revisions/reviews
Support UM programs across various segments including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid

Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited US medical school
Successful completion of an accredited US residency program in a directly related field (Pediatrics or Family Medicine with substantial experience with pediatrics)
A minimum of three years of post-residency experience in pediatric primary care and/or pediatric urgent care
Active, unrestricted license to practice in any US state and willingness to obtain licenses in all US states via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
Experience leading successful teams, with track record of outstanding collaboration and teamwork

Job Responsibility

Provide collaborative physician supervision and consultation for an experienced team of APPs, nursing leadership, and RNs in the field of pediatrics including conducting quality assurance review for Pediatric APPs
Serve as the pediatric medical director in regional cross-disciplinary team-based care coordination meetings and work with in-house clinical specialties to develop holistic individualized care plans
Own clinical content development for our Pediatrics program, serving as the subject matter expert across internal clinician-facing protocols and patient-facing content
Support the recruitment and training of pediatric medical providers
Help drive our population health programs toward healthier outcomes by partnering closely with Market Operations leads and OB Regional Medical Director to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
Identify and implement interventions to address cross-disciplinary or practice performance improvement needs
Facilitate and lead cross-disciplinary review sessions for episodic events and pediatric case reviews
Engage directly in patient care as a Pomelo provider
Actively participate in on-call schedules including overnights, weekends, and holidays

Medical Degree from an Accredited University
Physician state license and ability to practice in Florida
ABEM board certified or board eligible required
A minimum of 3 years experience as a physician in the emergency department post residency
Formal previous leadership experience is not required, however traits that show a high potential for being a successful leader are a must
DEA license required

Job Responsibility

Collaborate with the Medical Operations team to ensure that our patients have timely access to imaging modalities as available in your clinic, as well as our full suite of lab tests, with rapid results availability
Collaborate with the People & Culture and Talent Acquisition teams to conduct annual performance reviews, address employee relations concerns, interview and hire quality Providers and championing corporate initiatives
