Job Description

Lead a nationally ranked transplant program with exceptional academic support and cutting-edge facilities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin Transplant Service Line and the MCW Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology seek a BC/BE Transplant Hepatologist to serve as Medical Director of Liver Transplantation.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as Medical Director of Liver Transplantation
  • Lead collaborative program development within the Medical College of Wisconsin transplant service line
  • Direct provider engagement and program growth through accountable care initiatives
  • Mentor trainees in a fully accredited GI & Hepatology Fellowship with a planned Transplant Hepatology Fellowship
  • Receive protected time and funding to pursue clinical trials, QI projects, and translational research
  • Access research support through the Clinical Trials Office and CTSI coordinators
  • Practice in the new Digestive Disease Center opened in 2024 with cutting-edge facilities
  • Access a full complement of APPs, nutritionists, pharmacists, and advanced endoscopy capabilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for one type of equipment and oversee everyday tasks and troubleshooting within their area of expertise.
