Job Description

Part-time, 4 sessions / 16 hours per week, Fixed Term Contract - Three-year contract. Salary: £51,072.88 per annum. Location: remote (with occasional meetings at 30 Euston Square). Closing date: 11.59pm, Sunday 21 June 2026. Interview dates: Week commencing 29 June 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to RCGP's influence of UK clinical policy
  • influence national decision-makers to change clinical policies and commissioning guidance
  • work closely with Head of Policy, Senior Clinical Policy Officer and elected College Officer team
  • support delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical policy outputs including consultation responses, policy reports and position statements
  • ensure views of RCGP members are considered by key stakeholders
  • provide clinical leadership for RCGP's Clinical Adviser Network and College Representatives
  • work closely with Vice President – Member Standards on external requests for endorsements and representatives
  • provide clinical expertise and advice to support the wider Officer and senior team
  • work with wider policy, public affairs and press teams on relevant clinical queries

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
