We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our client's team in Portland, Oregon. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional service to patients, addressing their needs, and ensuring a seamless experience. Job Responsibility

  • Respond to inbound patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly
  • Provide accurate information regarding medical terminology, procedures, and durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Collaborate with patients and healthcare providers to resolve issues and facilitate effective communication
  • Utilize Epic EMR to document patient interactions and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, verifying insurance details, and managing patient accounts
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Troubleshoot and resolve concerns related to medical services or equipment with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of products, services, and processes to deliver consistent and reliable support

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a call center or customer service environment is required
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and healthcare processes is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Proficiency in handling inbound calls and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) and its applications is preferred
  • Experience using Epic EMR or similar electronic medical record systems is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
