Medical Billing Specialist

• Prepare and submit medical claims accurately, utilizing both electronic and paper submission methods
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure claims are processed correctly
• Monitor and resolve unpaid or denied claims, addressing issues promptly to secure payments
• Communicate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve any billing discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with all relevant medical billing regulations and standards
• Keep accurate and organized records of patient billing activities, payments, and interactions
• Provide exceptional support to patients by addressing billing inquiries and concerns
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate documentation for billing processes
• Utilize billing software and electronic medical records systems effectively to streamline operations

• Previous experience in medical insurance processing is required
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures and terminology
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record systems
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• additional certification in medical billing is preferred

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing processes is a plus
