Medical Billing Specialist

• Handle Medicaid billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Manage denied claims, including posting denials, adjustments, and recoupments
• Verify insurance information to confirm eligibility and coverage
• Utilize electronic health record systems to maintain accurate patient and billing information
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve billing discrepancies and improve workflow
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and analyzing billing data
• Conduct follow-ups on outstanding claims to ensure timely resolution
• Maintain organized records of all billing activities for audits and reporting purposes
• Communicate effectively with insurance providers to clarify and resolve billing issues
• Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and healthcare standards

• Proven experience in medical coding, particularly with Medicaid claims
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with insurance providers and team members
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and billing practices
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks efficiently

Experience with CareLogic is a plus
