Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This role involves managing Medicaid billing processes, ensuring data accuracy, and utilizing multiple systems to support organizational programs. Candidates will receive training and collaborate with external partners to achieve key billing objectives.

Job Responsibility:

Process Medicaid billing claims with precision and accuracy
Enter and manage data across multiple systems to ensure compliance and efficiency
Collaborate with external contractors and team members for training and process optimization
Provide billing support for Healthy Families America and Lead Program initiatives
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage billing functions effectively
Handle appeals and follow up on benefit-related inquiries
Prepare and maintain accurate billing reports using Microsoft Excel
Ensure adherence to billing regulations and standards in all tasks
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve billing issues

Requirements:

Proven experience in Medicaid billing processes
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong skills in handling appeals and benefit functions
Familiarity with billing functions and procedures
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to work collaboratively with external contractors and internal teams
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple systems and tasks effectively
