Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Addison, Texas. This role requires working fully onsite to support billing operations at a psychiatry healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate billing processes while providing exceptional communication with patients and maintaining detailed records.

Job Responsibility

  • Enter billing slips into Practice Suites with precision and efficiency
  • Verify patient insurance benefits and ensure accurate documentation
  • Communicate professionally with patients regarding account balances and payment inquiries
  • Maintain and update patient profiles to reflect current information
  • Collaborate with the team to address billing discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and standards
  • Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and care
  • Provide support in utilizing Practice Suites and other billing systems effectively
  • Assist in improving billing workflows to enhance overall efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in medical billing within a healthcare environment
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday
  • Familiarity with Practice Suites and other billing software is preferred
  • Skilled in verifying insurance benefits and resolving account balance inquiries
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing patient profiles
  • Comfortable wearing gray scrubs in a setting that requires attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Experience with psychiatry healthcare facilities or related fields is a plus
  • Knowledge of Practice Fusion or similar systems is advantageous
