We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate billing processes and maintaining financial integrity within our healthcare facility.
Job Responsibility:
Process and submit claims to insurance providers accurately and in a timely manner
Review and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure compliance with regulations
Communicate with patients and insurance companies to address inquiries related to billing
Maintain up-to-date records of payments, adjustments, and outstanding balances
Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify coding and documentation for billing purposes
Generate detailed financial reports to support internal audits and reviews
Monitor claim statuses and follow up on denied or delayed payments
Ensure adherence to industry standards and organizational policies in all billing activities
Provide support for system updates or transitions related to billing processes
Assist in the development and improvement of billing procedures to enhance efficiency
Requirements:
Proven experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
Familiarity with insurance claim submission and resolution processes
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
