We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller with strong customer service skills to support billing operations and provide a positive experience for patients and internal partners. This role requires accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to communicate clearly while resolving billing questions and issues. This is a part-time role only.
Job Responsibility
Process and submit medical claims accurately and timely to insurance carriers
Review patient accounts and insurance payments to ensure correct posting and follow-up
Respond to patient billing inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and clear explanations
Resolve billing issues, payment discrepancies, and rejected or denied claims
Coordinate with insurance companies, providers, and internal teams to resolve account issues
Maintain accurate documentation and notes within billing systems
Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
1+ years of experience in medical billing, medical collections, or healthcare revenue cycle
Strong customer service skills with experience communicating sensitive financial information
Ability to explain billing concepts clearly to patients and non-technical audiences
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and claim processing
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
Working knowledge of medical billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS preferred)
Experience with medical billing systems and electronic health records (EHR)
Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
