Job Description

A Healthcare Company in Los Angeles is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller / Payment Poster to join our Revenue Cycle team. The Medical Biller / Payment Poster role is responsible for accurately posting payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and precise revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate for a the Medical Biller / Payment Poster has strong knowledge of insurance payments, EOBs, and healthcare billing processes. This role is a hybrid position with 2 days in office and 3 days remote.

Job Responsibility

  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA)
  • Reconcile posted payments with daily deposits and bank reports
  • Identify and resolve payment discrepancies, denials, and underpayments
  • Adjust accounts based on contractual agreements and payer guidelines
  • Collaborate with billing and collections teams to ensure clean claim resolution
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company policies
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management, specifically in payment posting and medical billing
  • Strong understanding of insurance payment processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and billing systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
