Job Description:

Medical Assistants at Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care provide compassionate, equitable, and excellent care to individuals, families, and communities. The role involves patient communication, EHR management, administrative tasks, and teamwork across various medical specialties such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/Gynecology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, and Orthopedics.

Job Responsibility:

Enhance patient communication skills
Master Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Improve administrative competencies
Cultivate specialty in a clinical area
Enhance team communication and work efficiency
Provide compassionate, equitable, and excellent care

Requirements:

Less than 2 years of experience (for Level 1)
2 or more years of experience (for Level 2)
National MA certification (for Level 2)
Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Administrative skills such as medical billing, coding, scheduling, and office management
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Nice to have:

Specialty in a clinical area such as Pediatrics, Geriatrics, or Cardiology
Empathy and active listening skills
