Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a reputable private medical group specializing in dermatology. This is a contract position with the potential for a permanent role, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves assisting physicians, managing patient intake processes, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic while maintaining exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibility:

Welcome and room patients upon arrival to ensure a seamless check-in experience
Collect patient histories and manage intake procedures for new and returning patients
Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including cleaning and organizing equipment
Process laboratory specimens and ensure proper handling and documentation
Assist patients with pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions, addressing any concerns
Provide administrative support to physicians by accurately typing notes during consultations
Collaborate with the team to maintain high standards of customer service and efficiency
Schedule appointments and manage patient records using electronic medical systems
Verify medical insurance details and address any related inquiries
Uphold the cleanliness and organization of the office environment to promote safety and comfort

Requirements:

Certification or diploma as a Medical Assistant is strongly desired
Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to use it effectively
Previous experience in a medical assistant role is required
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and patient scheduling software
Strong ability to verify medical insurance information accurately and efficiently
High school diploma or equivalent education is required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork
