Medical Assistant

• Greets, prepares, and assists patients during visits, including recording vitals, taking medical history, and providing mobility aid
• Performs basic lab tests, phlebotomy, EKGs, administers approved medications, and communicates lab results under provider supervision
• Accurately documents medical visits, procedures, orders, patient history, diagnoses, prescriptions, and referrals in the electronic medical record
• Reviews medical documentation for accuracy and consistency, complying with legal/ethical requirements for patient confidentiality
• Prepares/cleans instruments, maintains tidy and stocked exam rooms, manages supplies, and schedules various appointments and referrals
• May handle front office duties like billing/registration, coordinates patient flow for education, and manages phone communications

High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire and Other completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution or validation of equivalent military training (i.e. Hospital Corpsman) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities. , upon hire and Medical Assistant Certification: WA, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
