Medical Assistant - Primary Care Vergennes

• Provides patient care in the office setting
• Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care to patients of all ages and populations
• meets the communication needs of patient and family
• provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision licensed independent practitioner
• Performs duties as assigned/delegated by other clinical support staff within the office
• Adheres to regulatory requirements, clinical and office policies, and procedures and standards
• Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Up to one year experience in medical setting with certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training and/or experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• BLS certification
• Ability to work under pressure and be able to adapt to medical situations
• Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patient in arising from exam table, push wheelchair patients, and assist patient in arising from and returning to wheelchair.
