Job Description

Premium Health is looking for a Medical Assistant to push the team to be more efficient, improve patient care, and have a lasting impact on the patient experience at our Internal Medicine practice. The practice is committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, comprehensive health care, and behavioral health services.

Job Responsibility

  • Greeting patients and rooming patients
  • Collecting vitals (BP, height, weight, RR, etc.) and documenting within the EMR system
  • Preparing patients and rooms for procedures as indicated
  • Responding to patient medical questions
  • Phlebotomy and POC testing
  • Cleaning rooms between patients
  • Instrument cleaning and sterilization
  • Stocking/restocking rooms as needed

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certificate / Phlebotomy Certificate preferred
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively

  • Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and groups
  • Instructs and counsels patients and their families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and adherence to prescribed medication regimens, within the scope of practice
  • May administer specialized therapeutic procedures, as appropriate
  • Provides appropriate support to members family
  • May develop and conducts psychoeducational classes and groups
  • May conduct psychological assessments, including test administration, interpretation, and recommendations
