Job Responsibility:
Assume a supportive role
Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient
Promote optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient
Perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by an authorized health care provider
Assist with front office duties and scheduling of tests and/or patient appointments
Responsible for accurate chart documentation and medical record maintenance
Attend / conduct in-service presentations and seminars
Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values
Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Medical Assistant certification or registration from approved organization
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association
Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Healthcare Association (NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
