Medical Assistant II position at Atrium Health Denver Internal & Family Medicine. Part-time, PRN day shift role performing clinical and administrative duties in a medical practice setting.
Job Responsibility:
Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice
Performs rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history
Assists provider with or performs procedures as ordered
Performs lab related duties such as venipuncture, specimen collection
Administers medications and vaccines safely
Performs other duties as assigned such as medication refills, insurance authorizations
Demonstrates effective and timely communication, teamwork
Maintains a clean work environment ensuring instruments and equipment are cleaned
May assist with training and onboarding of other teammates
May serve as a role champion or on a committee
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training per DD214
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
Recognized or certified as a CMA or RMA by a National Organization
Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant
Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and use of electronic mail
Demonstrates customer service skills
Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders
Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch
