Medical Assistant - Certified

• Assisting physicians with examinations and procedures
• Taking vital signs
• Obtaining medical histories
• Preparing patients for exams
• Assisting with minor surgical procedures as directed
• Administering medications as directed
• Performing electrocardiograms (ECGs) and other diagnostic tests
• Maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment
• Assisting with wound care and dressing changes
• Educating patients on post-procedure care and medication instructions
• Recognizing and responding appropriately to urgent or emergent patient situations
• Managing patient charts and medical records
• Answering phones, greeting patients, and handling inquiries
• Entering patient data into electronic health records (EHR) system
• Maintaining inventory of medical supplies and ordering as needed

• Graduation from an accredited medical Assisting program
• Washington State Department of Health medical Assistant - Certified (CM)
• Knowledge of third party payer requirements
• Strong aptitude for detail
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
• Skill in using a PC
