Where scientific insight meets meaningful impact in patient care. Proclinical is seeking a Medical Affairs Manager to focus on rare disease nephrology and cardiorenal medicine. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining scientific strategy, external expert engagement, and hands-on Medical Affairs delivery. The position covers the Netherlands and Belgium and can be based in either Breda or Mechelen. You will report to the Head of Medical Affairs for the Benelux region.
Job Responsibility
Develop and implement Medical Affairs strategies and tactical plans within the therapy area.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with external experts, healthcare professionals, and patient organizations.
Lead scientific exchanges, advisory boards, and medical education initiatives.
Support investigator-initiated and collaborative study discussions, including site feasibility assessments.
Provide scientific input into cross-functional plans, materials, reimbursement dossiers, and governance processes.
Stay updated on therapy area knowledge, including rare disease nephrology, cardiorenal medicine, and the competitive landscape.
Requirements
A scientific or medical degree (e.g., physician, pharmacist, MSc in Biomedical Sciences, or similar).
Fluency in Dutch.
Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, ideally in Medical Affairs, clinical specialty products, or a related scientific role.
Proven ability to engage with external experts and key opinion leaders (KOLs) while adhering to compliance standards.
Exposure to nephrology, cardiorenal, cardiovascular, metabolic, rare diseases, or adjacent specialty medicine.
Strong communication, organizational, and independent working skills.
