We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrator to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to the healthcare industry by providing essential administrative support to clinical supervisors and team members. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating patient services, managing referrals, and ensuring accurate data entry to support our operations.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately review and input authorization data into the database, ensuring timely management of expiring authorization reports
Coordinate patient services by scheduling and communicating with appropriate agencies, as directed by the clinical team
Actively engage in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous quality enhancement activities
Generate and manage various organizational reports as requested by supervisors
Perform general clerical tasks, such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, and message-taking, to support day-to-day operations
Communicate regularly with members to address their needs and collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive support
Participate in team meetings and offer recommendations to optimize operational processes
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information and adhering to organizational policies
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth functioning of the department
Requirements:
High school diploma required
an associate degree in a related field is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry or relevant qualifications as a Medical Assistant
Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and various software applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address operational challenges effectively
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing shifting priorities and deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with team members and patients
Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
Must report in person to the organizational office Monday through Friday
