Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Weatherford, Oklahoma. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position that requires expertise in managing accounts receivable, hospital billing, and collections. The ideal candidate will be skilled in navigating Epic software and have prior experience in a hospital setting. This position is 100% on-site in Weatherford, OK.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and monitor accounts receivable, focusing on aged accounts exceeding 60 days
handle collection processes to recover outstanding balances efficiently
utilize Epic software for hospital billing and accounts management
generate and review aged reports to track and prioritize account follow-ups
process billing functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital standards
post payments and reconcile cash activity to maintain accurate financial records
collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve workflows
maintain detailed documentation of collection activities and account statuses
ensure adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements in all financial activities
provide regular updates and reports to management on account statuses and collection progress.

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections, particularly in a hospital environment
proficiency in Epic & EMD Systems software, including hospital billing and EMR systems
familiarity with accounting systems such as ERP and CRM platforms
strong understanding of aged reports and financial reconciliation processes
ability to handle cash activities and maintain detailed financial records
excellent organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration
knowledge of hospital billing practices and compliance standards.
