Job Description:

This position determines and provides guidance on maintaining financial eligibility for Medicaid recipients residing at WVHK. The incumbent prepares new and annual renewal Medicaid applications for submission to the Waupaca County Department of Health and Human Services, monitors and evaluates member financial status for those members approaching Medicaid eligibility and works to ensure that current Medicaid recipients maintain their eligibility. This position serves as the in-house subject matter expert on Medicaid eligibility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Determines and provides guidance on maintaining financial eligibility for Medicaid recipients
  • Prepares new and annual renewal Medicaid applications for submission to the Waupaca County Department of Health and Human Services
  • Monitors and evaluates member financial status for those members approaching Medicaid eligibility
  • Works to ensure that current Medicaid recipients maintain their eligibility
  • Serves as the in-house subject matter expert on Medicaid eligibility

Requirements:

  • Experience reviewing financial documents to make determinations (e.g., identify or verify assets, ensure compliance, identify needed divestment, determine program eligibility, document income, interpret bank statements, real estate documents, tax records, etc.)
  • Experience using computer systems for healthcare data entry, interpretation, and reporting
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without WDVA sponsorship) at the time of application
