Job Description:

In the Medic role you will be supporting the Safety Manager on the delivery of an Iron Ore project in the Pilbara region of WA.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond and coordinate all emergency situations onsite
  • Delivery of emergency, fire and first aid training on site
  • Carry out all activities in compliance with statutory requirements and relevant legislation
  • Manage and maintain onsite stock, emergency vehicles, devices and equipment
  • Provide medical care to employees
  • Promote and support site Health and Safety initiatives

Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in the mining resource industry
  • Possess a Tertiary qualification in Medical, ER, or a related discipline
  • Hold a Certificate III Mines Emergency Response and Rescue
  • Have a Certificate IV in Pre-Hospital Care
  • Prior experience as an ERT Member or proven experience coordinating ERT activities and training
  • Demonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project, Excel and Word)
