Job Description:

We are looking for multiple Media Transfer Operators to work in the Chennai Global Delivery Centre. The Chennai GDC is a strategically important large-scale production hub that services all our Global hubs. The Media Transfer department is responsible for the quality control of broadcast assets across ingest and delivery. Central to this is the QC of both incoming video & audio assets to be used by our editors and VFX teams, and the QC of finished TV commercials before delivery to play-out partners and Broadcasters. The role of the Media Transfer Operator is to ensure work being delivered for either client approval or broadcast is delivered to specific requirements and is timely.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ingest QC / Output QC & delivery encodes of TV commercials for broadcast
  • Monitor Scope, Waveform & Audio Meters to ensure required specifications
  • QC of Premiere & After Effects projects to determine completeness and suitability for adaptation
  • Encoding/Transcoding files using Adobe Media Encoder to international delivery specifications
  • Resolution, Aspect Ratio and Standards Conversions using optimum settings
  • Overall responsibility for the technical quality of files and the appropriateness of the standards, created for distribution

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in an MCR capacity in a post-production facility and/or agency
  • Strong knowledge of broadcast QC and international delivery specifications
  • Excellent understanding of compression codecs, formats and deliverables
  • Basic I/O management in Adobe software, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Able to adapt to new working methods, technology advances and able to switch between multiple methods for multiple clients
  • Strong and Consistent attention to detail is highly essential
  • Excellent time management skills and multitasking abilities
  • Positive attitude towards problem solving and tight deadlines

Nice to have:

Experience in uploading/downloading assets from/to DAM sites or Cloud Portals is preferred
