The Media Relations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the IE Media Team with managing day-to-day tasks and timelines, ensuring team deliverables on multiple accounts are of high quality and issued on time.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the IE Media Team with managing day-to-day tasks and timelines
  • Ensure team deliverables on multiple accounts are of high quality and issued on time
  • Build media lists
  • Research and build editorial calendars
  • Track on team timelines and deliverables
  • Conduct media outreach
  • Conduct media monitoring and reporting
  • Conduct news and media audits
  • Develop PowerPoint slides with direction
  • Save and organize team files
  • Develop media Plans of Action (POAs) on specific accounts with guidance
  • Liaise with vendors (e.g., Cision) as needed
  • Support 4-6 client/project teams
  • Manage assigned projects with regular supervision
  • Report to the (Senior) Media Manager or Director

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience
  • Proficient computer, research and written skills
  • Effective research ability (Cision, Meltwater, Quid)
  • Understanding of basic media outreach practices
  • Ability to build media lists under direction
  • Ability to conduct media outreach
  • Ability to monitor traditional media and develop reports
  • Ability to track on opportunistic media
  • Ability to support development of client deliverables
  • Ability to conduct research on potential company partners and vendors
